OUR MISSION
The White Legacy Youth Baseball Community Complex Fund is dedicated to promoting equitable access to youth baseball in Southeast San Diego. We provide financial assistance, equipment, and resources to ensure all local youth can participate in Little League and related programs. Our mission includes developing and maintaining safe, accessible facilities—most notably the Shelley Curtis White Baseball Field—while organizing community events, tournaments, and clinics that cultivate public engagement.
We collaborate with schools and community partners to offer educational and life-skills programs that support youth development both on and off the field. As a 501(c)(3) public benefit organization, we are committed to charitable, educational, and recreational endeavors that strengthen community, expand opportunity, and inspire a legacy of excellence and inclusion through sports.

YOUTH BASEBALL PROGRAMS
ACADEMIC SUPPORT
In collaboration with San Diego State University, our longstanding Future Scholars program offers an enriching annual field trip for Porter Elementary students. Facilitated by Fund Director Dwayne Hill and Professor Dr. William Nericcio, this initiative introduces young learners to university life, inspiring early interest in higher education and nurturing their dreams. This program directly reflects our mission to provide educational opportunities that promote holistic youth development both on and off the baseball field.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Our Snow Cones & Popcorn Program serves as a cornerstone of community engagement, hosting vibrant year-round events including celebrations for Juneteenth and Labor Day. This beloved initiative fosters meaningful community connections, supports family-friendly activities, and aligns closely with our broader goal to strengthen community bonds through recreation and active participation, ensuring our mission remains lively and inclusive throughout the year.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
The White Fund prioritizes the personal development of each child, nurturing their talents and skills to help them realize their full potential and become confident, capable individuals. We help to equip young people with the tools and resources they need to achieve healthy futures through baseball, tutoring, life coaching, and more.
EMPOWERMENT PROJECTS
The White Legacy Fund is dedicated to providing ongoing financial support for the Southeastern Little League, covering player registrations, uniforms, equipment, and essential field improvements. By ensuring safe and accessible spaces at Shelley Curtis White Baseball Field, we uphold our commitment to eliminating barriers to youth baseball participation and fostering community spirit and athletic development in Southeast San Diego.
NO CHILD SHOULD PAY TO PLAY
We envision thriving communities where every youth, regardless of economic barriers, can fully participate in sports and benefit from enriched educational experiences and life-skills programs, contributing positively to their futures and to the strength of our communities.
